In a town full of unusually talented people, it can be hard to stand out. James Durbin found a way and now you can share in his secret. Because James was raised by a single mom and had various health and money challenges, a singing career didn't seem like a realistic dream. But James found Kids On Broadway, a Santa Cruz Theatre group for kids ages 5-19 and their parents, and suddenly his options started to expand.

That's how many times James received scholarships to perform in KOB productions James was able to receive top-level directing and voice coaching from some of the Bay Area's most accomplished theatre professionals in a warm, supportive environment that gave him the confidence to dream bigger then he'd ever dared before.
